Malacca Trip !

This post is quite overdue :)

On the 3rd of July me and some friends went on a day trip, a more specific term would be food trip :D , to Malacca :)

So all of us gathered at Kel's place before Alex came and picked us all up in his CRV (our transport ).

The trip was about 1 3/4 hours ( could've been shorter if we had paid more attention on getting out of Subang instead of making one wrong turn after another :P ).

Upon arrival, we immediately made our way to a beef noodle restaurant that I was familiar with on account of going there once before with my family on a previous trip there :)

Our awesome driver, who never slept off once, took us to 170 km/h, Malacca, then back in one piece :)

OH yes I forgot to mention ! On our expedition to the state down south ( from Selangor anyway), our 'crew' consisted of 6 people. If you own or have been in a CRV before, you would know that it has a driver's seat, a front passenger seat and back seats comfortably spacious enough for 3 people. Sum it all up and you'll get 5 seats :) So where did our extra crew member seat ?

After letting Des out of the trunk, we went into the beef noodles place. GOSH they were sooooo satisfyingly delicious, just as I remembered :D

So after our fulfilling breakfast , we went towards the city centre :)

Now, its not that I'm ranting about Malacca or anything cuz its really a nice place, but they seem to have loads of Mc Ds ! Even before we reached the beef noodles place and while we were driving on the outskirts of the city , we passed 4 or so Mc Ds ? And when we reached the Dataran Palawan / A Famosa area, we saw another 3 more..... They must sure love Mc D :P

Anyway, we parked and hung at a Mc D near A Famosa while waiting for some of us who needed to use the toilets..

After A Famosa we walked back to our car to discover that we had been fined for not buying come parking coupon thing that only the locals know about =.= Anyway, the fine was just Rm 5 so it wasn't a big deal. After paying our fine, we parked somewhere near Jonker's street and walked there. Parking in Malacca's city centre is near impossible !! We went to 3 parking bays with no vacant spots until finally arriving at a forth that was quite a distant from Jonker :P

So once there, we lined up, yes queued, out this store that apparently is very famous for their chicken rice balls. Khai Cheng, Leen and the stick went to the store next door that apparently sold very famous cendol, durian cendol to be exact :) And I could definitely taste why they were famous cuz they were absolutely delicious :) Not too sweet and the durian in it didn't over power the entire cendol with a generous amount of other ingredients; red beans, atap chi, green things u find in cendol :P

So after lunch, we were a little full from lunch and beat from walking all day so we went to Dataran Pahlawan to just hang and rest :)

We walked back to Jonker's street after that for dinner. Most of the appetizing looking shops were already closing and it wasn't even 7.00pm so we went into the nearest one and just ordered what ever they had left.

Starting Uni in another 3 or so weeks, haih such a mood-killer just thinking about it :(

Genting and Father's day

Just got back from Genting a few days ago :)

It was definitely one awesome trip that I'll remember for awhile :)

So I'll start from day one.

On Tuesday the 14th, all of us took express busses from our respective states to the Puduraya bus station in KL. The reason for this was so we wouldn't be all in a mess and scattered about when we reached Genting. Uma lives on the Eastern part of the Peninsula so he took a bus there directly cuz would be kinda silly for him to come all the way to KL and then make a U-turn back to Genting :P

By the time all of us were at the station, it was already 11.45 am. We bought a ticket for the 12.30 noon bus. Surprisingly, the bus was packed when we got on, not packed in a sense that there was little room left in it but in a sense that although it was a weekday like any other, all the seats were filled.

The trip was about an hour. We reached the lower Sky station at around 1.30 pm. From there, we walked for about 10 minutes to our near by hotel. We unpacked and rested til 3.30 pm. By then, Uma had arrived. We then began our walk to the station and took a cable car up :)

When we were up there, there was a 'Transformers' exhibition of sorts going on, which little boy(myself included :D ) wouldn't get excited !! :D

The big thing in the picture is 'Devastator' from Trans 2. I know it doesn't look big in the pic, but it was actually bigger than a computer monitor(not a flat screen one, the traditional box-shaped ones).

I got back on Thursday and was extremely exhausted. Me and my family celebrated Father's Day on the following Friday night just for the sake of celebrating :)

It wasn't much, just bought a cake for my dad, hugged him and told him I loved him :)

But I could tell he was happy :)

How all Malaysians should speak.

Occasionally, I'd take some time to think about my future. A friend of mine shared this video on Facebook. After watching it, it really got me thinking about my future, the problems I'd face and the choices I'd have to eventually make. If you're a Malaysian and smart, you'd know that our country has many flaws.

Unlike most people I know, my family doesn't have the financial capabilities needed to put me through a medical school abroad, not even a local one. So unlike most people, my future is pretty much decided in terms of the type of life I'll be living and the type of people influencing my life. Because unlike most people, I can't choose which country I wanna live in next time. Unlike most people, I'll be "trapped" in this so-called country, where the government promotes "1 Malaysia" while I still hear of Bumiputera grants, scholarships and loans. Unlike most people, I'd have to fight for a proper future, a future and a country that my children and their children would be proud to live in and proud to call their own.

Make no mistake that I am thankful for receiving the scholarship I currently hold, because I truly did study hard for it and it does help my family financially. But then again, how hard is it to get a scholarship nowadays ?

That question would depend mainly on your name. About 65% of the "effort" needed to get a scholarship is from your name. 25% from your grades and the other 10% from other small miscellaneous fields. If you're smart, you'd know what goes into a "good" name.

My interests lie far from serving the "people". I've always wanted to be a doctor so I could help people that can't help themselves. But the "people" I'll eventually be helping have been given more then enough opportunities to help themselves, and they've just thrown those opportunities to the wind.

Broga Hill and Brands

Me, Alex and Kel hiked up Broga Hill yesterday :)

Truth be told, the night before yesterday, I went out with my family to catch Pirates of the Caribbean 4. The show was at night, at 8.10 pm so it finished at around 10.30pm. By the time we got home, it was already 11pm. I told myself I was going to bed by 11.15 pm but one distraction led to another and before I knew it, I was watching some laughing dog video on YouTube and it was already 1.00 am :P So i quickly cleaned up, got to bed and slept. Before I knew it, it was already 3.00 am and I had to get up again, all tired, unrefreshed and cranky :( The reason for needing to get up so early was so we could make it to the top in time to catch the sun rise. Keeping reading and check out the pictures below to see if we made it in time :)

So I was at Alex's house by 3.45 am. Kel came to pick us up at 4.00am. After about an hour or so we reach the base of the hill. The surroundings were of an oil palm plantation, to someone who hadn't been there before, the place would've been impossible to find as there were hardly any signs there. The nearby towns were more like 'Malay Kampungs' rather than towns because I couldn't spot a single Chinese or Indian restaurant along the way and the place looked and smelled like a kampung :P

We started hiking about a minute after we parked. This was around 5 am. There were only 2 other cars there at that time. I could tell that the 3 of us were the first few of the day hiking up the hill. We started out relatively quick, the the area around us was still mostly oil palm trees. after about 15 minutes, the gradient got steeper. The surroundings changed from oil palm trees to think grasslands. The pathway was also narrower than compared to when we started out. We reached the first checkpoint/ peak about 20 minutes after we had started. We took a breather here for about 10 min, enjoyed the view(almost pure darkness) for a bit :)

I saw this patch of grass. I don't think its that clear in the picture(phone camera) but that small patch of grass was actually growing out of a rock!!.....thought it was kinda cool :P

Saw a small durian at the base when we stopped to get some coconuts to drink.

We went to USJ 21 to eat dim sum for breakfast :) Was an exhausting morning. By the time I got back, which was around 10.30am , I immediately took a bath and slept til 330 pm. It was a tiring day, but fun of course :)

Went to Ikea jsut now with my mom and bro. Just walked around carrying the Ikea shopping bag mostly. My mom likes to go to Ikea. She seldom buys stuff, most of the time she goes there just to look around. We didn't buy anything major today, just a small mat and some mugs.

We went over to the curve after that, I bought 3 shirts from Brands :)

Frankly speaking, I'm not the shopping type. I really do think its a waste of time and money. You're basically buying more clothes than you can possibly use. Some people even buy them just for a one time use and then leave them in the depths of their drawers of cupboards, never to see sun light again. I shop practically only once a year and thats for my CNY clothes. BUT Brands is the one and , so far, only store that I'd do my casual shopping at. They have ACTUAL clothes that people would ACTUALLY wear daily and not just chuck them aside after wearing them a few times :P

Energizer Night Race Goodie Box

Just received my Goodie bag from the energizer run :)

For most of you who don't know, about a month and a half ago, I took part in the Energizer Night Race at the Sepang Circuit.

However, the event was poorly managed by the organizers, a one 'Expose Media'. Because of this, the people at Energizer stepped up and took full responsibility for the entire thing. They refunded everyone back in full and they also sent out the Goodie bags that most people failed to collect on the day itself. Read on to find out why me and the 10000 other runners say it was terribly managed :P

Problems of the Energizer Night Race 2011 :

RM10 parking. Legal/Illegal? Syndicate?

People were dressed in RELA uniforms outside, 'selling' parking tickets (blank pieces of pink coloured paper) that cost RM10. Even after some paid the absurdly high fee, there literally wasn't enough space (no not parking spaces, I literally mean ground area) for people to park their cars. And its all the way out in Sepang!! There are no buses that go by or LRT or MRT stations around! How else can some one go to the race if not by car ? And when I say 'people were dressed in RELA uniforms' , you have to understand that getting a RELA uniform is as easy as going into a uniform store and picking it up. How do i know if the people there weren't trying to pull a big hoax ?

Not enough headlamps

After going through the tight narrow tunnel (picture below), I reached this room literally full of people, pushing and shoving each other, trying to get to the stack of boxes at one end of the room that contained the headlights. There were no personel in charge of giving out the lights at all. How were they suppose to know who signed up and who didn't ? Who paid RM50-70 registration fee and who didn't ? In the end, lots of runners didn't get their headlamps.

Only one water station functioning instead of two.

Not only was there just one water station through out the whole race, they gave out those 1.5L bottles of water! If you're new to long distance running, picture this : You're tired and exhausted after running for some number of kilometers. You come across a water station that's suppose to supply u with a sufficient amount of water to rehydrate you and moisten you're throat again. Instead of giving you paper cups of water that can be disposed of at a rubbish bin set up near by, they give you a big 1.5L bottle. What are you gonna do with a big bottle like that ? Drink 500ml and throw the rest away? Or drink 500ml and carry the other 1L with you, its not like you're EXHAUSTED or anything RIGHT ?

Only 2 collection counters were present during that night. Both with a line of participants each literally (I can not stress this anymore than I am now) taking me 15 minutes to walk to the end of (just one of the lines) . They began throwing the bags out at people after sometime.

From the event's website, it is stated that if a participant finished the race within a given amount of time, he or she is entitled to a finisher medal. When i reached the finishing line they (the race marshals) told me that medals were only for the top 10 runners. Lots of other runners were absolutely frustrated when told this.

Motorcycle lessons

Just signed up for my motorcycle license course just now ! :)

According to the receptionist/worker at the driving institute there, I'll be able to get my P license in about 1 and a half months time !! way shorter than compared to the time it took for me to get my P license for a car. This being so because I've already sat for the computer test thing and I don't have to sit through another 6 hours long KPP course :P

My 'Amali' Course will be this Friday, after which I'll be getting my L license Hopefully I'll be able to start my first lesson next week :)

I know some of you who know me may think 'Why'd you want a motorcycle? To rempit around?'

If so then my answer is NO to both those questions. I've always wanted to own and ride a motorcycle and this will be my first step towards that dream :) And please take note that I'll be learning to ride a >500cc bike. Meaning with my license, I'll be able to ride the 1000cc bikes you see on Moto GP and not some 'kap cai' 100cc rempit bike :P

To be honest I'm quite excited but nervous in the sense that I may have to repeat the test again like what happened to me during my car driving test :P But this particular driving agency (Metro) allows me to retake the test 3 times for free....hopefully I'll only have to take it once :P

Although I will not have a bike to ride at all upon the obtainment of my P license, I'll be happy to know that when the time comes for me to get one, I'm already ready for it :D

That's right !! My term 3 is finally over with 2-3 months of break waiting for me :)

First few things done upon reaching home :

Downloaded new games to play (Portal 2 , COD BO) ;)

Ordered some pizzas ( Aloha chicken + Beef pepperoni = *thumbs up*)

Went out and bought a tub of strawberry ice-cream all for myself (I did buy ice-cream for the rest of my family of course, its just that the strawberry tub was ALL MINE :D )

Ate Dim Sum with Khai Cheng, Des, Kel and Yee Pei
Watched some vids on Youtube (Although most of you would think that watching youtube vids isn't anything special, you'd beg to differ after living in a hostel with wired internet connection that breaks every 5 mins for 10 months) (if you're reading this and in the mood for a good laugh check this vid out :P )

I really can't believe 10 months have come and gone by. In a few months time, given that my results are good, I'll be starting my first medical year. So much has happened so fast.

To be honest, I really hated the fact that I was there to begin with. I know it may seem 'childish' to simply use the word hate to describe how i felt before but I can't think of a word more concise and accurate. The thought of working more than 300 hours a month on average in a government hospital for 10 years just worsened my state of mine then, especially whenever I recalled the things the doctors in HKL told us during our 'exposure trip'.

Apart from that, being away from friends, 'wasting' time doing a substandard course (in comparison to A-lvls and STPM), knowing that the best efforts I put in will only land me in a never-heard-of-before university as compared to the likes of IMU and Monash and further more, being away from my then girlfriend all added to the ball of misery that grew in me.

Only about 3 months into the course did I begin to accept my fate and start to take it as a blessing in disguise.

By taking up the scholarship I was helping my parents financially and indirectly carrying out my responsibilities as a son.

I was also learning how to actually be independent. Yes, I use the word 'actually' because although most people my age(teens/young adults) think that we are capable of being independent, you don't really know how it truly feels like until you live on your own. It also got me thinking about how my mom survived when she was my age and how she moved to the city(KL) from Perak all on her own with nothing more then RM800 and a Form 5 education level.

Apart from that, meeting new people, unique in their own ways from all across the country, definitely changed the way I think and look at life. It is most probably true that if your a young adult and you come from the city, your main focus (at the present moment) is getting a good job and making money. But that shouldn't be how one's mind-set is. It is true that money is important in life as it is needed to build a family and no I'm not gonna say 'Money can't buy you happiness' because to an extent it can. But when your old, tired and dieing, I truly believe that all the money in the world would be worthless if you can't look back on your life and be happy with what you've done with it.

So after a while, I just forgot about being angry and focused on the things that mattered most to me. I studied hard. I set new goals for myself to better myself and I made more commitments to what I want to accomplish in life.

To date, I've already:

participated in two runs ( a 10km one and the Adidas KOTR 11km) and have another 3 coming up soon.
I bought an electric guitar and learned how to play it ( I'm no Slash or Hendrix or Page but I know an A minor from an E :P ).
Went back-packing in Penang for 2 days with my house mates.
Planning to sign up for a Mandarin class (yes for those of you who don't know, I'm a Chinese that can't speak Chinese :P ) tomorrow.
Learned to solve a 7x7x7 Rubik's cube.
and many more :)

I never thought I'd end up in some university amongst paddy fields, getting ready to study medicine there. But then again, if I had never gone to Aimst, I wouldn't have found the store that had one of the few 7x7x7 Rubik's cubes in the country and bought it then learnt to solve it. If I hadn't gone there, I'd still be having a laid-back attitude towards life and wouldn't be interested in taking part in any runs. If I hadn't gone there, I wouldn't have realised just how much of a disadvantage I'm at by not knowing Chinese and wouldn't have decided to sign up for lessons. If I hadn't gone there, I wouldn't be writing this post now because I'd still be taking life lazily.

In truth, a lot of things would be different if I had chosen not to go. Can I say I'm glad I did go ? Maybe. But then again, I wouldn't know what pros I'd have if I didn't go. Here is where I know not to ponder on such things ( what might have been or could have been) and just look forward to the future because you'll miss it if you linger in the pass :)

For those of u who dunno, Shawn Hoong is a Super-big-fat-pain-in-the-ass that for some reason he's come to tolerate....So this bond he's developing with the big-fat-bla bla bla is just gay....If u sudy chemistry u would know covalent and ionic bonds n their characteristics, (simplified version : its stuff that stuff can do because God made it so) the main propeties of this bond are :

LOL, finally gonna update my blog.... but this post isnt gonna being interesting or exciting or funny or something out of the box u might expect after not posting for quite sometime....too bad =P

errr lets see.....on Monday during the hols I went to school to help out for the ABRSM thingy in the school....even thought we(ME,Blackman,Rushan,Carmen,Rama-rama) did some work(arranging the chairs and sticking up flyers) , that day alone would be the day when I did the most work in relation to the rest of the week.....Let me explain....

The next day, I came to school around 8.30am to leave for the Aquatics Stadium in Shah Alam cuz me and a few other prefects had to duty for it lar...wasn't really sure what we had to do....

When we reached there, we were given our 'duty groups ' lar.... mine was the 'Sambutan'(Greeting) group....Me and Rushan and Beatrice and Wai Yi were to greet the VIPs when they arrived.....so we were abit semangat lar...wearing our blazers and everything.....and we waited.....and waited....and errrrr, oh yeah, waited...... basically u should get the point that they didnt show up, who ever they were.... Pn. Viani said they would be coming the next day o we chilled lar and hung out in the VIP section....The only super hard decision we had to make that day was 'What to eat for lunch?'..... OMG the first day was a big fat waste of time....

Then came the second day....OMG it was worst than the first....seriously did nothing at all....sat in the VIP seats, keeping them warm in wait of VIPs that didnt show up....

Then came the third day....again nothing much...but the most attention catching event of the whole day for me was when Pn Wang commented on my long hair....

She started off.......

~Previously, I wrote some sutff here about Pn.Wang, insulting stuff obviously....but because of a certain someone, lets call this person R, and the fact the I feel slighly guilty, I have removed the insulting things about her.....Although I'm admiting that I did feel guilty, I don't think I can that I've learned my lesson because I still find the stuff I wrote about her to be funny....Hopefully I'll regret fully what I've done and stop picturing the things I wrote about her in my mind over and over again.....Thanks again 'R' =) ~

Been really behind on updates lately, both on this blog and facebook...
Just finished uploading a butt load of pictures, accepting lots of waste-of-time requests and editing my facebook profile....]

Argh....been really in the mood to go mountain biking but my bike is busted again....

Two stupid spokes on the back wheel broke so can't do any serious riding due to risk of the back wheel warping....

The orange bike isn't in any condition to be used either, the front shifter is jammed for some reason....

OMG....so many stupid problems....

Gonna try and fix all of them later...argh gotta pull out that stupid heavy tool box again...

Gonna get my hands dirty and greasy again....

Gonna get super annoyed when something doesn't fit again....

Gonna have to clean up the mess I'm about to make...again....

OK....monthly finally over....

SO finally got time to update =D

ok....on the Tuesday after Thaipusam, I wuz cycling to school early in the morning...like always..

Then a plastic bag I was carrying in one hand got stuck in the front fork of my bike and the front wheel just stuck....

IF you have a bike with a strong enough front brake....try cycling at quite a high velocity and pressing the front brake really hard....

IN other words, I fell front-wards off my bike....OMG and I was wearing a new shirt on that day...

The shirt tore at the back and was covered here and there with spots of blood....

This year's CNY seemed to be a tad bit more boring than last year but it was fun at certain times...

On, the Friday school ended, cleaned my room after I got back form Add maths tuition....then went jogging....10km , OMG that MSS(something) merentas desa thingy coming up on thursday....SO don't feel ready....

Relatives came over to my house the next day....It was a Saturday so there was choir....

Went for choir form 8 til 12.30..... the moment i got back, house flooded with relatives....

Hmmm, nothing interesting to say about that =)

By the time we got to the counter, there were only a few seats at the front most row of the cinema....what a waste if we to sit there but luckily there were a row of seats somewhere in the high middle that had been reserved but the people that had reserved them had'nt claimed their tickets yet....so......we 'stole' the reserved seats =D

OMG the movie sucked....that had to be the lamest horror movie made....but it was so much better than 'The Dorm'....bloody Thai show....

After the movie, Casandra wanted to burn some money so we went to Big Apple to buy donuts....

Duh, what else do you go for Big Apple for....unless its for the coffee....or maybe you work there....NVM....

Just got back from cycling.....Cycled to Bkt Kiara this time, ermmmm took about 1h 30 min to get there and come back with an additional 20 minutes of simply cycling around the area there so total = 1h 50 min.... lol math-sy....

This is the entrance to the mountain biking trail....well not really,this is actually a ramp so of the cyclists jump off from....the entrance is to the right.....

OK, this is a better picture....to the left is the ramp, right is the entrance.....and far right is the funny yellow sign....

Hmmmm....I think this picture should have gone 1st.....I took this cuz I saw this dude cycling on the way....It turns out that the dude was going to Taman Tun Dr Ismail too....

Went to the bike shop in Taipan yesterday cuz my pedal crack was busted....

(can't think of a better word to describe it.....other than broken)

zOMG the dudes there we're cool, rarely talk about mountain biking cuz I dun know many people that do, so it felt good to be able to talk about something I liked with dudes that shared the same interest as me.....

We talked for about an entire hour, and the dudes only took like 15 minutes to fix up the pedal, well...not really fix it up ,they just replaced a washer in the crank shaft....

All this time I had been going all the way to Bkt Kiara and Bkt Dam to cycle when one of the dudes said that there was a trail in Putra Heights....hmm, gotta check it out one day...

Anyone out there that goes Mtb-ing please lemme know !!

be about the show "The Pick Of Destiny" !!

The show stars Jack Black along side some-fat-not-so-famous-other-actor-whos-name-I-don't-know.......

Basically the shows about Jack Black's character called Jables......

O lazy to type the summary so I'll just copy and paste one....

As a young man, Jack Black leaves his religious family and oppressive town (Kickapoo, MO) for Hollywood on a quest to form the world's most awesome rock band. There he meets acoustic guitarist Kyle Gass, who is performing on the street, and begins worshipping him as a rock god because of his skills and attitude. Kyle feeds Jack's fantasy by pretending to be famous with a self-named band ("The Kyle Gass Project"), and exploits him to do work such as cleaning his apartment and buying him weed with the promise of an audition for his fictitious band.
After Jack learns that Kyle is actually unemployed and that he is living off rent checks from his mother, the two become equal, and Kyle apologizes to Jack by giving him a brand-new guitar. They create their own band: Tenacious D, named for birthmarks found on their ass cheeks. (Jack has a birthmark which says: "Tenac", and Kyle has a mark which reads: "ious D".)

After a pep-talk from the bar's owner, they decide they are good enough to go onto the contest without the pick, not knowing that the owner is Satan in human form, looking for his missing tooth piece. Coming back outside (deciding they can both use half of the pick), they are confronted by Satan, who is "made whole" when he places the Pick of Destiny back on his broken tooth, giving him the ability to use his supernatural powers on Earth. He threatens to take Tenacious D back to Hell.
To save their lives, Tenacious D challenge Satan to a "rock-off", which he is forced to accept according to the "Demon Code." The terms of the challenge are that if Tenacious D wins, Satan must return to hell and pay their rent, while if Satan wins, he gets to take Kyle back to hell to be his bitch. Ultimately, they lose (Kyle sings, "That was a masterpiece! / He rocks too hard because he's not a mortal man."), and Satan attempts to shoot Kyle with a bolt of Lightning. Jack jumps in the way, and the bolt bounces off his guitar, blowing off a piece of Satan's horn. Jack is able to exploit Satan's "incompleteness" in order to banish him with a magical incantation: "From whence you came, you shall remain, until you are complete again".

The two turn Satan's horn into the "Bong of Destiny" and the movie closes with the two smoking from it as they write new songs.

By my opinion, the show is like a B-rated musical !

(will definately be censored about 30% on Malaysian tv)

Ermmm I'll start with some pictures from last years Christmas !!

1st of all....we have the artificial X'mas tree, made from the highest quality plastic =D

Its been quite some time since I posted something....

Nothing to post lar... =S

Ok....recently I had this "Christmas BBQ" at my place....(sorry no pictures)

It was also a family gathering thingy =D Invited some friends...

(Ed,Edwin,Andrew,his bro,Jien Hoi,Kel,Alex)

My Mom and I went to Care4 the day before(it was on the 25th btw) to buy food(Lamb,Chicken,Sausages,......ermmm...she cooked nasi lemak....and made a salad.....and my aunt brought a tiramisu )

In the evening on the 25th I set up the BBq set which was borrowed from another aunt....

It took me about 30 min to get it going...(OMG inhaled so much smoke)....

THEN!!.......(the party spoiler).....it started to drizzle !!

I thought the rain would subside quick cuz it rained the last year when I had the BBQ...but...

It only stoped raining around 9pm....Luckily, we had already set up this portable canopy over the front porch...so the BBQ pit was moved under the canopy =) party resumed !

The 1st dude that arrived was Andrew and his bro.....followed by Ed and Edwin...then Kel n Alex n Jien Hoi....

OMG we made up this joke about Shawn !

(Its kinda like an At-That-Moment type of joke so it might not be that funny)

Played and ate chocolate at the same time...My cousin(Casandra) scrolled through my song list on iTunes library while giving coments such as:

"OMG you listen to High School Musical ??!"

"Don't you have anything other than Rock?"

First of all...I didnt download the HSM, my bro did....

Secondly,I dont have a clue how I could have Elvis on my library list....

Thirdly, I have 1063 songs on the list and only 235 of them are rock songs so YES! I do have songs other than rock songs !!

At about 11.30pm Andrew ciao-ed...just when I was cleaning up everything and thought that everyone had left....More relatives showed up....(talk about late comers...)

Slept around 1.00am the next day....

OK !! Just got back from Club Med !! zOMG , the 4 days 3 nights there were the best 4 days and 3 nights anyone could ever spend at any hotel.....

Day 1 , ermmmm left Subang at about 11.00am and arrived there around 3.30pm...This is a beach we stopped at before reaching the place....

The resort was awesome !

The place was full of different guests from loads of places(world wide)

There were French people....Singaporean...Korean...Japanese....

Australian...African...Indonesian....but no Americano-s....

It turns out that the resort we stayed in was one of many branches world wide....

Workers from other countries would be assigned to other resorts apart from the ones in their own to enable the staff at each resort to communicate with the guests better...

there were Japanese , Korean , African.....Australian...long list....of workers at the resort....

The first thing I did the moment we arrived at the place was go rock-climbing !

ZOMG so cool !! Managed to reach the top on 2 different types of walls but the other two were just too hard....

At the resort....I ran into Lynn Shane(my ex-PST2 leader) !!....

LOL, what a coincidence.....and my dad's friend and his family....

and some other girl from S'field...form 4 but dunno her name....

Then I went to the archery range !!

Step a side Legolas......

There was this Taiwanese guy there at the range....after about 10 shots....he couldn't hit the

target(shot above,below,left,right of the target but never hit)....

Finally when he was able to hit the target...he shouted "YES" so loudly that everyone else turned their head towards him and at the same time, passively turned their bows and arrows

towards him...LOL... it was like everyone was gonna shoot him....unintentionally...

Resting in the room.....

Went to the basketball court for about an hour.....then played tennis for an hour....then badminton for 45min....gila babeng tired......

AT dinner !! It was a buffet....all the main 3 food sessions each day(breakfast,lunch,dinner)

were buffets....Anyways....ate pizza and pasta and some Korean BBQed chicken...

This is my desert !! Made it muh self.....Diabetes written all over it =D

Day2

After breakfast....went for a swim in the pool !...LOL nothing exciting about that....

just swam a few laps in the pool....left stroke....right stroke....breath....redo....

The card says "Men are like parking spots, the good ones are taken and the free ones are handicapped"....... =.=

The place had loads of animals every where....not like

a pony or a cow....there were ant eaters like this one...

Loads of monkeys....Saw one snake.....

This is my desert after lunch !! Its not the same as the previous one....

This one has strawberry ice-cream and a vanilla cream covering....

After lunch.....went kayaking at the beach....

The kayak had to be dragged for about 200 meters

to reach the sea....

The waves were rough...the hard part was going over the waves as they came towards you...

once I was far out enough.....about 600 meters form the beach, the sea was quite calm....

At the beach bar....

The lounge beside the bar....The fees for our stay were already paid, prepaid....

so we could drink and eat as much as we wanted when ever we wanted....

Lol...I took advantage of my mature looks and ordered a Vodka Martini !!

James Bond wannabe =D only could finish 3/4....

Not used to the taste =P.....

The desert tray at dinner....

There was like a dance floor thingy every night.....

And !! There was a different performance every night....

I missed the one on the 1st night cuz I didnt know they had performances....

But I caught the 2nd....ZOMG it was so bloody fuahnny !!
It was an Air-Guitar contest....

They "played" songs ranging from 'Smells Like Teen Spirit-Nirvana' to

'Sweet Child O Mine-Gun N Roses'....

Day 3

Forgot to mention.....There was a different theme each day at the resort....

Dunno what the theme was for the 1st day....2nd day was 'Rock Legends'(hence the Air-Guitar competition)....the deco-ed the whole place with pictures of old Rock bands....The Scorpions...Chuck Berry....

The theme for the third day was 'Circus Day'....

Went rock climbing again after lunch......Managed to do the previous wall and a new one twice...

In the evening....took a service train the beach....Went kayaking again!!

Almost the same right ? Me = More tanned....

Desert for dinner....

This one has a Vanila ice-cream instead of strawberry...

At night....the let us play with these things below :

They demonstrated it very well....All I could do was spin it...

Dunno wads it called....

The performance that night was way better than the previous night....

They set up a mini circus inside the performance hall....

It had a trapeze and some other equipments that required the user to be

above the audience....

The amazing part was that all the stunts were performed by the staff working there and

not some circus people......

The next day was our check out day which was Day 4...

Really sad....Didnt want to leave T.T.....Had too much fun.....

arrived home at 4.13pm 23 seconds(was looking at my watch at the time =D).......

Weeeeeeeeeeeee...this should be my last post for a few days...going to some resort in Terengganu....'Club Mediterranean'...

I know that doesn't sound as super exciting as "I'm going to America" or "Off to Europe" or

"I'm going on a cruise !!"(KC =.=)....

But the resort is well known(according to the brochures) for loads of sport activities...

WOOT rock climbing here I come !! and kayaking !!

There'll be a beach there so went out to buy swiming trunks already, not that I go out and buy a new pair everytime I go to some place with a beach or a swimming pool...usually just use my pants but my dad said the place had srict rules....Dunno why I'm mentioning this =P....

ermmm...ermmm....bought loads of junk food to eat along the way!!

We have our selection of Twisties....Pringles...those rice biscuits(dunno wad thier called)...

more Pringles(6 cans of sour cream 'n' onion and 2 cans of cheese)....some asam....

hmmm...come to think of it, not really a large selection....just alot in quantity.....

Ok...I recently just cleaned my bike....by 'cleaned' I mean took it apart piece by piece , washed and lubricated each part piece by piece, then put it back together piece by piece...

I took apart the front suspension, shifters, brakes and handlebar too but didn't take a picture cuz my hands were too greasy and black by then....
Plus I wuz afraid I might forget which part went where....
Btw, I started around 3.30 pm...

here's how I started out....

Managed to pull out the spring in the suspension and lubricate it....

But it runs 110% smoother than before I started =D

It turns out that I dented/broke off the bumper of the car I hit.....

According to the guy I hit, when he got home, he found that half his back bumper was hanging off the back....

SO.....instead of paying RM1k.....my dad now has to pay RM2.3k.....

OMG.....so guilty......

OK....this post is one day over due....the incidents in this post happened on the 29th....dunno why I'm mentioning this but thought you'd like to know =D

Ok....today we went on our 1 day, O nights stay at Genting
Highlands....YES 1 day, O nights excluding a hotel room, lunch and
transportation =)...

Basically you get the idea that we didn't go there to
enjoy the view and ourselves...we didn't even stay there !! We went there to
exchange a remote-controlled helicopter my dad bought...nope, no joke....
Ermmm a few days ago my Dad brought some of his clients to Genting.....on the way back he bought the thing along wif other stuff as gifts for my cousin's
birthday.....he gave the helicopter to my bro...but it couldn't fly...just span
around in a circle.....so instead of going to a shop somewhere closer to sea
level, we went all the up to get it replaced....but I didn't argue wif that, I
really wanted to go!! The last time I went to Genting was during Standard 4....6
years ago man.....

Lol most of the photos were of or related to the cable car !! Cuz we didn't do much there....bought nothing even thought my dad insisted me to buy something...mostly window shopped....ermmm...

Ate lunch at some restaurant that sold durian pies.....yah thats about it....but I so enjoyed the 1hour 45 minutes in Genting !!

The following events also happened on the same day.....

When we got back from Genting which was about 6pm....I tested the helicopter abit and Syok-Sendiri with it, flying it up and down.....

About 6.45pm wanted to go cycle....I didn't use my normal mtb....instead I used my dad's road bike cuz I wanted to get use to the clip-lock pedals it had....you've gotta wear those special cycling shoes which lock themselves to your pedal when you ride so you transfer more power from your legs to the pedals(LOL scientific =P)....It was already quite dark so I didn't plan on being gone for so long.....half an hour at most, which is why I stupidly chose to not wear my helmet....OMG super dumb....wore my gloves though....

You might have guessed it by now....but if you haven't , just read on....So it was about 7.20pm....

Cycled about 10km according to the speed-o-meter on the bike....I was heading home....cycling on the highway form USJ 18 towards Taipan.....As I approached the T-junction between USJ 13, 14 and some USJ beside Taipan, the light was red so I was pressing the brakes slightly to slow down.....Up ahead was a white Avanza turning left at the junction, I thought that I'd be able to slow down to a stop before the even reaching the junction but I was so wrong....If I had rode my own bike instead of my dad's , I was sure that I could have stopped in time, but I didn't....

I applied the brakes based on judgement from riding my own bike....

My dad's bike was much lighter and the brakes were diff from that of my bike....

SO.....after pressing on both brakes for about 3 seconds right to the handles....I couldn't stop and crashed into the back of the car....Emphasism "into"....I crashed through the back windscreen....

My arms entered 1st...followed by my head hitting the top part.....

Left arm....

Right arm....

Thats not just a cut....thats a hole....if you pulled my ear from the top up....it'll make a hole...

That black thing ain't a mole...clotted blood...

The cuts might not look like much cuz I washed them already....they kept on bleeding for about 45minutes after I washed cuz there were pieces of glass in each of them...

Back to the story.....Rolled abit after I hit the car....cars behind the one I hit all began to press their hons like a typical M'sian driver =D I got up and limped to the side of the road.....

The dude I hit was an Indian guy, father....his wife and 5 year old son were in the car.....he stopped his car at the side of the road and rushed to me with tissue....LOL, the funny part was when all I could say was " OMG I'm so sorry !!!" (it was funny after I got home)

The guy was like "Its just a windscreen ! Are YOU ok ??!!"

Handed me loads of tissue....the moment I saw the tissue, I realised I must have been bleading...

Forgot what just happened....looked at my right arm and saw this 2cm long piece of glass sticking out of it ! Pulled it out and countinued wipping blood.....he handed me his handphone to call my dad, when I press it to my right ear, it hurt abit so I guessed I must have cut my ear...didnt think there was a hole there.....about 20 minutes later(due to my poor directions and trafic) my dad arrived wif my mom....my Mom was like "OMG were going to a clinic!!"

I didnt wanna go cuz I was fine...and there was ice-kacang waiting for me in the fridge...

In the end my dad has to pay for the windscreen and It turns out I dented the guys bumper too....so he has to pay for that too....

Moral of the story : Ice-kacang is yummy !!

P/S: Thx dad for paying the cost, about RM 1k....

P/S/s:He's so never gonna let me ride his bike again T.T....

Ok....here are some pictures I managed to take while biking at Bukit Kiara.....
Time frame: 3pm-7pm....

The pictures aren't in order but the ones that have a dull dark background should be the ones
I took around 6-7pm while the rest should be around 3-4pm....

Here we have a rider going on the see-saw ramp....forgot what trail this was....
Before I could ask him to take a picture of me, he left....

Along one of the trails....

When I arrived....saw these two ppl washing their bikes...

Still along a trail...further up is a jump ramp but didn't take a pic of that....

I've had this bike for about 5 years now =D best 5 years of my life !!

Just finished mountain biking at Bukit Kiara TTDI area...hard place to find....

Was raining while I cycled so the entire trail was bloody slippery and wet and muddy and well....wet....

They just built this new bike washing poll or area or wad ever its called...real convinient....

LOL scrape of the day....had more bruises but mostly on my arse....

Lock breaker !!

We had to go to school during SPM week to help out abit.....

Pn.Chong or Wang(forgot who) asked us to break a lock in the prefect room which was being used to keep the Form 5's bags....

The lock was on the back door and the whole room was excessable by just the front door so it was kinda hard for loads of Form 5s to go in and get their bags quick...

Thats why she wanted us to break it...

so we couldn't just hammer the crap out of the lock cuz SPM wuz going on.....

We tried to saw the lock...pick the lock...saw and pick the lock....all failed...

Then !! we found this super-huge pair of pliers in the KH room.... looked like this :

In the end !! We managed to break the lock via the lock-breaking-pliers =D

One day , there was a Japanese guy, an Indonesian guy and a Malaysian guy on this sampan(wooden boat)....

They were heading to this island near....er.....the north pole(imagination!!)

Suddenly!!(dramatic sound effects in the background).....

3 holes appeared on the floor of the sampan...

The Japanese dude quickly jammed a few Playstations and an X-box into the hole to stop water from coming in....

The Indo guy and the M'sian guy asked him "Dude , why'd you do that?" The Japanese guy replied "Cuz there are plenty of those in my country, they come cheap compared to yr countries..."

Then the Indo guy quickly rammed loads of batik into the second hole...Followed by a question form the M'sian and Japanese dude "Yo, why did you do that ?" The Indo replied " Chill, there are plenty of those form where i come from..."

Then , the M'sian guy quickly stuffed the INDO guy into the third and final hole....

The Japanese guy then asked the M'sian guy why he did so.....*I bet if your a M'sian and yr reading this right now, you so know the M'sian's reply !! Lolzzz*.....The M'sian replied "Dont worry, we have plenty of those where i come form =D".....
